Kangana Ranaut Condemns Pahalgam Attack: ‘They Open Fired At Civilians Who Had Nothing On Them To Defend’

BJP MP and actress Kangana Ranaut condemned the Pahalgam terror attack in J&K.

BJP MP and actress Kangana Ranaut has strongly condemned the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, where terrorists opened fire on a group of tourists at the Baisaran mountain top, resulting in as many as 27 casualties. Taking to her Instagram stories, Kangana expressed her outrage, stating that the act of targeting unarmed, innocent civilians is utterly despicable. Kangana’s condemnation adds to the chorus of voices from the Indian Film Industry demanding justice and stronger security protocols in the region.
She wrote, “They open fired at civilians who had nothing on them to defend them, every war in the history has been fought in the battlefield only, since these napunsaks have got weapons they are shooting unarmed innocent people, how to fight with these cowards, who want to fight only outside of the battlefield (sic).”
Other celebrities who condemned the attack
Rashmika Mandanna shared a screenshot of the news on her Instagram stories and wrote, “It breaks my heart.” Ram Charan wrote on X (formerly Twitter), “Shocked and saddened by the terror attack in Pahalgam. Such incidents have no place in our society and should be strongly condemned. My prayers are with the families of those affected.”
Ghanta Naveen Babu, known professionally as Nani, also talked about the recent terrorist attack in the Pahalgam town of Jammu & Kashmir. The actor shared his personal connection to the place, describing it as “like a dream.” South superstar Nani took to his X account to express, “Three months back we were there. Over 200 people team for almost 20 days. Pahalgam Was like a dream. The place, the people and the warmth. Heart broken and speechless. Why ?”
Pahalgam Terror Attack
On April 22, 2025, a horrific mass shooting unfolded at the Baisaran meadow near Pahalgam in Anantnag district, Jammu and Kashmir. Dubbed the Pahalgam Massacre of Hindu Tourists, the attack saw militants linked to The Resistance Front (TRF) open fire on a group of Hindu tourists. At least 28 people were killed, and over 20 others were injured in the deadly assault.
