Ishaan Khatter has impressed fans with his acting chops not only in Bollywood but also in Hollywood. The actor marked his Hollywood debut with The Perfect Couple, co-starring Nicole Kidman. Now, he has reflected on his experience and took some time from his busy schedule to connect with fans through an engaging “Ask Me Anything” session on Instagram.
During the AMA, a fan asked, “What’s one thing you learnt in Hollywood? (lots of love, hottie).”
To this, Ishaan replied, “Endurance, self-discipline and the fact that craft services are pretty great.”
Speaking about the Hollywood film The Perfect Couple, the mini-series is streaming on Netflix. The mystery drama featured him alongside Oscar-winning actress Nicole Kidman. In the series, Ishaan played the role of Shooter Dival, the best friend of actor Billy Howle’s character Benji Winbuey. The Perfect Couple is an adaptation of the 2018 namesake novel of author Elin Hilderbrand.
Ishaan is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film Homebound. The Neeraj Ghaywan directorial, co-starring Janhvi Kapoor and Vishal Jethwa in the lead roles, premiered at the prestigious 78th Cannes Film Festival under the Un Certain Regard section. However, the makers have yet to announce the release date of the film.
During an interaction with journalist Sucharita Tyagi, the actor recalled his preparation for the role. Revealing how director Neeraj Ghaywan told him to lose his muscles, he said, “The first thing that he said to me out of all the beautiful things was, ‘You’ve to lose the muscles!’ I was like, Yeah, I can do that, it is easier for me to look like that, and he was like, ‘No, no… Ishaan, please! I don’t want to see a single sinew on your body!’ Get rid of it all! I was just coming off of The Royals, where it was a job requirement. That was a physical part of it.”
The 29-year-old actor will once again step into the shoes of Aviraaj Singh in the second season of The Royals. Helmed by Priyanka Ghose and Nupur Asthana, the rom-com series will also see Bhumi Pednekar, Nora Fatehi, Vihaan Samat, Zeenat Aman, Sakshi Tanwar, Dino Morea and Milind Soman reprising their characters.
