Armani Prive Cuir Dore & Cuir Rubis ~ new perfumes :: Now Smell This
Giorgio Armani has launched Cuir Doré and Cuir Rubis, two new fragrances in the Armani Privé range. Cuir Doré and Cuir Rubis join Cuir Nu in the La Collection des Mille et une Nuits series (and see also prior entries Cuir Zerzura, Cuir Majesté and Cuir Noir).
Cuir Doré ~ “A powerful leather softened by irresistible vanilla, Cuir Doré is inspired by the shimmering golden threads that intertwine on Armani/Privé fabrics to dress them in light. // For Cuir Doré, maestro perfumer Dominique Ropion crafted a perfect balance between animalic leather notes and exceptionally gourmand vanilla. The perfume opens with the spiciness of black pepper, and unfolds into the golden warmth of saffron accord and labdanum. After, the leather takes over with its strength and sensuality, enhanced by the the woody power of amber and softened by the envelopping [sic] sweetness of bourbon vanilla.”
Cuir Rubis ~ “A dark leather enriched with luscious notes of red plum, Cuir Rubis is inspired by the sparkling red stones that embellish Armani/Privé dresses. // For Cuir Rubis, perfumer Violaine Collas crafted a masterful blend where fruit, vanilla, and leather notes evolve linearly, interwoven from the first spray to the last whisper on skin. The perfume opens with a juicy plum accord which reveals a caramelized, liquoreous [sic] facet and plays with a dark licorice note. As the scent develops, the addiction increases with two types of Vanilla, jungle essence and absolute, which blend into the warm sensuality of leather and suede notes, for a powerful and lasting impression.”
Armani Privé Cuir Doré and Cuir Rubis are available in 50 and 100 ml Eau de Parfum Intense.
