Good Bad Ugly Box Office Collections: Adhik Ravichandran’s latest release, Good Bad Ugly is enjoying a great run at the box office. Starring Ajith Kumar and Trisha Krishnan, the film opened to a collection of massive Rs 29.25 crore on its debut day and while Friday dipped a bit with just Rs 15 crore, the weekend saw gaining momentum. Now, the film is facing another challenge, owing to the controversy around Ilaiyaraaja’s songs, which further impacted collections on Tuesday. According to Sacnilk, Ajith’s film collected an estimated Rs 6.50 crore net in India on Tuesday, pushing the film towards a net revenue of Rs 107.80 crore in India.

The trade website reports that Good Bad Ugly crossed the Rs 100 crore mark on Monday with a roaring Rs 15 crore collection. On Sunday, the film witnessed a boost, earning Rs 22.30 crore, possibly due to the Ambedkar Jayanti holiday whereas Saturday raked in a significant total of Rs 19.75 crore. The film, till the fifth day of its release, made Rs 171.50 crore worldwide, making it the highest-grossing Tamil film of 2025.

As Ajith’s Good Bad Ugly remains unstoppable at the box office, film critic and trade analyst Sreedhar Pillai commented on its collection. In a statement, he said, “Good Bad Ugly super hold on a working day (Tuesday) as it crosses ₹100 crore gross in TN. Trade is convinced now it will work in its second weekend with no opposition during the Easter holidays!”

Directed by Adhik Ravichandran, Good Bad Ugly focuses on the journey of gangster Red Dragon (played by Ajith Kumar), who leaves the world of crime after his wife (played by Trisha Krishnan) warns him to clean up his act to stay with his son. Determined to turn over a new leaf, he sets out to right his wrongs but his dark past comes face to face when his son gets kidnapped, compelling him to dive back into the world of crime.

Apart from Ajith Kumar, Good Bad Ugly also stars Trisha Krishnan, Arjun Das, Sunil, Priya Prakash Varrier, Yogi Babu, Shine Tom Chacko and Tinnu Anand in pivotal roles. The film’s release coincided with Sunny Deol’s Jaat on April 10.

As for the controversy, Ilaiyaraaja sent a legal notice to the producers of the film. The renowned music composer demanded a written apology and compensation of Rs 5 crore for using his songs in the film without seeking his approval.
