Alex Lewis appointed Executive Vice President, General Counsel at KHP Capital Partners


KHP Capital Partners (KHP), a leading real estate private equity firm specializing in full-service hotels and resorts, with a focus on the lifestyle segment, today announced that Alex Lewis has joined the firm as Executive Vice President and General Counsel. In this role she will provide comprehensive legal and strategic support to the KHP funds and oversee KHP’s legal, regulatory, risk management and compliance matters. Alex will be succeeding Judy Miles, who will continue at KHP as an Executive Advisor.
Alex joins KHP from Goodwin Procter LLP, where she was a partner in the Real Estate Industry group. She brings extensive experience advising private equity funds, real estate investment managers, developers, and public REITs in complex commercial real estate transactions – including equity investments, senior, construction and mezzanine financings, and acquisitions and dispositions. Alex was recently recognized by Connect CRE as a leading commercial real estate lawyer in their 2024 Lawyers in Real Estate Awards. She holds a JD from Columbia Law School and a BA from McGill University.
KHP is currently investing KHP Fund VI, a $300 million discretionary equity fund that leverages the firm’s expertise in hotel operations, development, and lifestyle hotels to pursue complex value-add opportunities. Recent investments include The Hotel Viking in Newport, RI, The Johnston Building, an adaptive reuse project in Charlotte, NC, set to open in late 2026, and the Pan Pacific Hotel in Seattle, WA, which will relaunch as 1 Hotel Seattle in early May.
