The Aranmanai franchise has been successful for director Sundar C in the past, and he returns with the fourth installment. While some may have had reservations about his previous Aranmanai films, audiences can’t seem to get enough of them. Aranmanai 3, released in 2021, proved to be one of the most commercially successful films of the year.

Aranmanai 4 follows a similar template, blending horror-comedy with moments of fun for the kids, appealing to a wide audience. As a summer release, it may capture the interest of families, much like Aranmanai 3 did.

The premise of Aranmanai 4 revolves around a large house in the middle of a forest, a supernatural force, a ghost, various comic characters, children, a godman, beautiful women, rituals, a devotional song, and Sundar C himself, who plays a pivotal role. The story centers on Selvi (Tamannaah Bhatia) and her husband (Santhosh Prathap), who live happily with their two children in the forest until her husband inexplicably tries to harm them. While the children survive, the couple does not, prompting the involvement of Selvi’s brother, lawyer Saravanan (Sundar C), and his aunt (Kovai Sarala), who rush to investigate the incident.
