Avon Attraction Desire by Gabriela Chelariu

Sexy saxophone music over here please! With a name like Attraction Desire, this is highly likely to be a date night fragrance, and having sprayed it liberally and got to know it well, I can confirm that it is indeed best suited for date nights, or evenings at any rate. If you wore this to an office you may get looks, but wear it in the evening with a bit of lippy and a posh top, and you’ll fit right in.

Be aware that Avon Attraction Desire is strong stuff. It has a mega watt fruity floral opening of mandarin, cherry and BIG jasmine sambac. The cherries are particularly distinct and the jasmine sambac gives them a grown up feel rather than a summer garden party feel. There’s a touch of saffron in there- a note you’ll recognise if you’re familiar with Marc Jacobs Decadence. Iris and lily make their beautiful presence felt alongside the massive jasmine and it’s altogether a very glamorous party with cocktails and diamanté.

Lasting power was until nearly the next morning. I tried it in the evening and could smell traces when I woke up. The perfumer behind this is Gabriela Chelariu, which is a new name to me, but if this is anything to go by, she’s already making her mark.
