BTS members RM and V have officially completed their mandatory military service in South Korea. The two globally popular singers stepped out in uniform on Tuesday at the Sports Park in Chuncheon, Gangwon Province, as fans from across the world cheered and welcomed them. While RM was seen playing a saxophone, V was seen holding bouquets of flowers. The two were all smiles as they posed for the cameras and marked their comeback.
Several videos of RM and V from their military discharge are also going viral on social media. In one of the clips, the two were seen jumping with joy, whereas another featured the K-pop stars sharing a hearty laugh.
V also took to his Instagram story to share a picture of him and RM walking together, arms around each other, while donning their military uniforms. Along with that, he mentioned the dates they enlisted in the army as well as when they got discharged (12-11-2023 to 06-10-2025).
RM and V enlisted in the military in December 2023 but served in different divisions. Following these two, Jimin and Jungkook will also be relieved from their duties on June 11. Suga is scheduled to complete his duties by June 21.
Previously, BigHit Music issued a statement and revealed that the discharge day is “reserved for military personnel” only. “Hello. This is BIGHIT MUSIC. We are excited to bring you the news of RM, Jimin, V and Jung Kook’s upcoming military discharge. RM, Jimin, V and Jung Kook are close to completing their active service in the army and will soon be discharged,” the statement read.
“Please note that the discharge day is reserved for military personnel only. No special events are planned on the day of RM, Jimin, V and Jung Kook’s discharge. Each location has very limited space, and overcrowding can pose safety risks. We place the safety of our artists and fans as our top priority, and sincerely request our fans not to visit the sites in person. Please convey your warm regards and encouragement in your hearts,” it added.
“We are always grateful for your unwavering love and support for RM, Jimin, V and Jung Kook. Our company will continue to put our utmost effort into supporting our artists. Thank you once again for your continued love and support for BTS,” BigHit Music concluded.
