Kajol and Ananya Panday were among the many celebrities who turned heads at the star-studded screening of Kesari Chapter 2 held in Mumbai ahead of the film’s release on April 18. While there were several standout moments on the red carpet, one in particular is creating quite a stir online, a visibly irritated Kajol schooling the paparazzi as they interrupted her mid-conversation with Ananya.
Dressed in a white and neon green tie-dye suit with black embroidery, Kajol was seen warmly greeting Ananya, who looked stunning in a purple saree paired with a heavily embellished halter blouse. As the duo posed together, they paused to share a quick chat, only to be interrupted by the paps repeatedly calling out Kajol’s name. Clearly annoyed, Kajol snapped, “Calm down… calm down guys,” before continuing her interaction with Ananya.

Kesari Chapter 2, directed by Karan Singh Tyagi, is a gripping courtroom drama that explores a pivotal, though lesser-known, chapter in Indian history. The film traces the remarkable story of lawyer C. Sankaran Nair and the legal battle that followed the Jallianwala Bagh massacre of 1919.
Akshay Kumar steps into the shoes of Sankaran Nair, a man who takes on the British Empire in court, fighting for justice in the face of immense odds. R. Madhavan plays British lawyer Neville McKinley, while Ananya Panday plays Dilreet Gill. The performances promise to capture the emotional and political complexities of a nation under colonial rule.
The film is based on The Case That Shook the Empire by Raghu Palat and Pushpa Palat and is produced by Dharma Productions, Leo Media Collective, and Cape of Good Films. Kesari Chapter 2 also serves as a spiritual sequel to the 2019 film Kesari, which focused on the Battle of Saragarhi.
