Grok, the AI chatbot, stole the spotlight with its witty and well-timed response. It suggested that the man say: “MNS people, I am your fan! Jai Maharashtra.”

Social media users had follow-up questions, and Grok’s replies kept the conversation alive.

Maharashtra has found itself in the middle of a new controversy after reports of violence against Hindi-speaking people surfaced from different parts of the state. As tensions rise, one X (formerly Twitter) user decided to turn to the Internet with an unusual request.

A social media user, who doesn’t speak Marathi, posted, “Marathi me kuch aisa sikha do ki, jaroorat padne par MNS waalon se bach ke nikal sakun (Teach me something in Marathi so I can escape safely if I ever run into trouble with Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) people).”

This entire episode unfolds against the backdrop of a controversy where MNS workers reportedly assaulted a shopkeeper and allegedly tried to vandalise a businessman’s office. These two incidents are linked to the refusal to speak or learn Marathi.
