Actor and filmmaker Dileesh Pothan‘s latest Malayalam thriller, Am Ah, has finally made its way to OTT platforms after a successful theatrical release in January. Directed by Thomas K Sebastian, the film blends emotions with a gripping crime story. The plot follows Dileesh’s character, Stephen, a road construction supervisor who travels to a remote hill station for work. There, he comes across a woman, played by Devadarshini, and her granddaughter, which sparks his curiosity about their lives.

Along with the talented lead stars, the film features a strong supporting cast as well, including Jaffer Idukki, Meera Vasudev, TG Ravi, Maala Parvathi, Sruthy Jayan and Alencier Ley Lopez.

When And Where To Watch Am Ah

Those who were waiting to watch Dileesh and Devadarshini’s starrer, can finally reap the rewards of their patience. Am Ah is now available for streaming on Sun NXT and OTTplay Premium. The streaming platform confirmed the news by announcing it on their X (formerly Twitter) account.

They wrote, “Love can be found anywhere, especially if you look close enough. Follow the Story of Stephen visiting Kavantha.”

As per the official synopsis, “Stephen, a road construction supervisor, visits the serene yet enigmatic mountainside village of Kavantha and becomes intrigued by a mysterious lady living with her granddaughter. His curiosity leads to a series of heart-warming revelations.”

Along with being a successful actor, Dileesh Pothan is also a successful director, and has helmed hit films like Maheshinte Prathikaaram, Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum and Joji. Speaking about combining acting and direction, in the past interview with OTT Play, Dileesh shared, “When I am acting, I have this fear about getting into that character. I would rather trust the director. After my first film, I realised that it is tough to direct myself. I do give inputs and I am okay even if they don’t take them. I think a director will have more clarity about the character than me and I prefer to believe him.”

Dileesh’s previous film, Vaghachipani, directed by Natesh Hegde, made history by becoming the first Kannada movie to have its world premiere at the Berlin International Film Festival, held in February. The film also stars Achyuth Kumar and Gopal Hegde in key roles.

Am Ah is written by Kaviprasad Gopinath, while the film’s background music has been composed by Gopi Sundar.
