With International Fragrance Day this Friday, 21st March, we will be holding our annual Smellfie. All just for fun, to celebrate and share the joy of fragrance!

As the delightful aromas of spring begin to fill the air, we’re thrilled to announce that National Fragrance Week is just around the corner! The highlight of this scent-sational celebration falls on Friday, 21st March 2025 – National Fragrance Day – when fragrance lovers across the globe will be sharing their beloved #smellfies.
What is a #Smellfie?
A #smellfie is simply a selfie with your favourite fragrance (or whichever scent you’ve chosen to wear that day). It’s a wonderful way to share your perfume passion with fellow fragrance enthusiasts worldwide. Since we first introduced the #smellfie concept, (nearly a decade ago, now!) it has blossomed into a global phenomenon, with bloggers, industry insiders, celebrities, and perfume aficionados eagerly participating each year.
Express Your Scent Style
What we absolutely adore about the #smellfie tradition is how everyone brings their unique personality to their photos. Some fragrance lovers go all out, dressing up to match their perfume bottles or embodying how their chosen scent makes them feel – creating elaborate, artistic compositions that showcase their creativity and passion.
Others prefer a more casual approach, simply snapping a quick photo holding up whatever fragrance they’re wearing that day. The beauty of the #smellfie is that there’s no right or wrong way to participate – we love seeing them ALL!

How to Participate on Friday, 21st March 2025
It couldn’t be simpler to join in the fun:
- Take a photo of yourself with your chosen fragrance
- Post it on Instagram with the hashtag #smellfie
- Tag us @theperfumesociety in your photo so we can see and share your creation
We can’t WAIT to see which fragrances you choose for your #smellfie on the day! Which scent will you select to represent you? Will you create an elaborate themed photo or keep it beautifully simple?
