Pierre Guillaume Volupte Noire & Kyphenze ~ new fragrances :: Now Smell This
French niche line Pierre Guillaume has launched Volupte Noire, a new fragrance in the brand’s Black Collection, and Kyphenzé, a new fragrance in the brand’s Hors-Série Collection.
Volupte Noire ~ “Volupté Noire is an olfactory interpretation of Ambrosia, the mythical food of the gods. It draws inspiration from the high Atlas Mountains of Morocco, where a powerful and animalic floral nectar is harvested: euphorbia honey. A radiant burst of bergamot, davana and medjool date opens the fragrance. The heart reveals a bouquet of white flowers, linden, acacia, jasmine mixed with the sweet tannins of black oak. Richly ambered and musky, euphorbia honey dresses the composition in an umber robe leaving in its sovereign wake the imprint of a tawny, floral caress.” Currently exclusive to Luckyscent, 50 ml for $175.
Kyphenzé ~ “A dry heat, almost sacred. Scorching stones, the sun at its zenith, and in the air, a vibration of herbs, blazing citrus, and ancient resins. Kyphenzé is born from this tension between raw light and buried mystery: the evocation of a forgotten ritual, between ancient Mediterranean and Oriental reverie. It is not about reconstructing the past, but exhuming its aura to feed a contemporary gesture — imposing, fascinating, luminous. // Citrus Rex. A citrus with authority.
