Fresh off the critical acclaim for Mrs, actress Sanya Malhotra is all set to bring a whole new avatar to the screen. After winning hearts in sports dramas and family entertainers, this time she steps into a brand-new role as she is all set to star in an action-comedy slated for a 2025 release. The announcement was made official today, on July 12, as the actress posed with the film’s core team. Known for her versatility, Sanya’s foray into the action-comedy genre promises a refreshing blend of humour, grit, and cinematic punch.
Trade analyst and business expert Taran Adarsh took to his Instagram to share the happy news and wrote, “SANYA MALHOTRA STARS IN ACTION-COMEDY ENTERTAINER… In addition to distributing and financing projects, #AagaazEntertainment kickstarts its 2025 slate with an untitled action-comedy headlined by #SanyaMalhotra. Produced by Aagaaz Entertainment P Ltd, the film is directed by #KapilSharma and produced by #NeerajTiwari and #MukeshGupta.”

Sanya Malhotra was last seen as the lead in Mrs, which went on to earn great reviews. The film is a remake of Jeo Baby’s 2021 Malayalam film The Great Indian Kitchen and revolves around a woman who gets married into a patriarchal family.
