Accessing WBCHSE Uchcha Madhyamik Results

After the press conference held today (May 8), the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) has officially announced the results for the Uchcha Madhyamik (Class 12) examinations. The direct link to access the scorecard is now active and can be found on either wbchse.wb.gov.in or wbresults.nic.in.

According to the academic calendar released by WBCHSE, the Class 12 examinations for the next academic year are scheduled to take place between March 3 and March 18, 2025.

In the previous academic year, a total of 8,52,444 students were enrolled for the Uchha Madhyamik examinations, out of which 8,24,891 students appeared for the exams. Among them, 7,37,807 students successfully cleared the HS examinations. In line with the trend observed in 2022, male candidates outperformed their female counterparts, achieving a pass percentage of 91.86% compared to the female pass percentage of 87.26%. Notably, Subhrangsu Sardar from Narendrapur Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya in South 24 Parganas district secured the top position in the HS 2023 exams by scoring an impressive 496 marks out of 500 (99.2%). These results were formally announced by WBCHSE president Chiranjib Bhattacharya.

The pass percentages among students from minority communities and those from SC/ST backgrounds stood at 87.58% and 87.75%, respectively, in 2023.

Furthermore, WBCHSE has introduced a semester system for Class 11 starting from the current academic session (2024-25) and for Class 12 from the 2025-26 academic session across all state-run and state-aided schools. As per the official notification, board examinations will be conducted upon completion of semesters 3 and 4.

Additionally, the Board has proposed the introduction of a preparatory course for Class 10 students who are interested in pursuing the new Applied Artificial Intelligence and Cyber Security subjects included in the higher secondary curriculum.
