BLACKPINK’s Jennie Dominates Coachella’s Weekend 2 With Show-Stopping Performance

Who wanna rock with Jennie? Looks like the whole Coachella. Jennie made her grand solo return to Coachella during the second weekend of the 2025 music festival. On April 20, the K-pop star lit up the Outdoor Stage in Indio, California, and delivered a performance that had the entire crowd dancing, singing and cheering more.
This was her second solo set at the festival, and she once again brought her A-game. The 29-year-old performer rolled out an energetic setlist that had kept the fans hooked from the start. She performed tracks from her debut album, Ruby, with infectious energy. Jennie’s set included crowd favourites like Zen, Handlebars, Mantra and, of course, the anthem Like JENNIE.
That song became the real highlight of the night. Before jumping into it, she had a request for the crowd.
“Coachella, I want to see your hands up and phones down for this one,” she told them before adding the line from the song, “It’s gonna be f***** hard.”
She then slipped on her sunglasses and dived straight into the track. From the first beat, the energy shifted, and the crowd erupted. People were screaming, singing every lyric and moving with her. The choreography was perfect, the vocals were strong, and Jennie looked completely in control. It felt like all of Coachella was under her spell during that moment.
Amid all the excitement, Jennie also shared an emotional moment during her song Starlight, which includes the lyric, “I just wanna make my mama prouder.” She paused in the middle of the performance, holding back tears and said, “Eomma Saranghae,” which means “Mom, I love you” in Korean. The crowd cheered even louder after that.

Her outfit also turned heads. Styled by Park Min Hee, Jennie wore a custom creation from Mugler’s Spring-Summer 1992 Cowboys collection by Manfred Thierry Mugler. The look included a buckled wrap coat dress, red vinyl shorts, a matching neck scarf and silver futuristic sunglasses.
This marked Jennie’s first solo appearance at Coachella after performing with Blackpink in 2019 and 2023. The group made history by becoming the first K-pop girl group to perform at the festival and later, the first K-pop act to headline it. Other K-pop artists who performed at this year’s Coachella included Jennie’s fellow band member Lisa and boy band Enhypen.
Global names like Lady Gaga, Travis Scott, Missy Elliott, Post Malone, Megan Thee Stallion, Charli XCX, Green Day and Ed Sheeran also performed across the two weekends.
