Man Seeks Court’s Help As Ex-Wife Moves In 12 Years After Divorce, Judge Says ‘Isme Hum Kya Kare’

A courtroom video has surfaced online which reveals a surprising case that involves a man and his ex-wife. The man, who divorced his wife 12 years ago, claims that she forcefully entered his home just as he was about to remarry. The divorce took place in 2013 but the woman’s unexpected return has led him to take legal action against her.
The video begins with the judge listening to the man who explains that he got married in 2008 and divorced in 2013. He then mentions that on March 3, his ex-wife’s brother and other family members suddenly dropped her off at his house. Despite being out of touch with her for years, she is now staying at his home.
In response, the judge asks, “Toh esme High Court kya karega? (What will the High Court do in such a case?)” The man goes on to explain that although he filed a complaint, the police have not taken any action. He requests the court’s help in directing his ex-wife to vacate his house.
The man further adds that he is preparing to marry again after 15 years but his ex-wife’s sudden presence is making that difficult. The judge, after listening to him, playfully says, “15 saal aapne bohat late krdiya na (15 years is too late, right?).”
Despite his sympathy, the judge questions the legal grounds for removing her from the house. He says, “Aapki FIR darj ho gayi, ab investigation hoga (Your FIR has been filed, now there will be an investigation).”
“Kal ko Sarkari vakil aapke ghar aakr rehne lage thode din aapke ghar toh kis kanoon me aap unko bahar nikaloge? Ye toh aapki divorced patni hai. Kanoon toh batao (If tomorrow a government lawyer moves into your house and stays for a few days, under which law will you ask him to leave? This is your divorced wife, tell me the law)” the judge continues.
The man explains that charges have been framed against her but the police didn’t investigate. “Hum khana bana kar de rahe hai (I’m even cooking food for her),” he adds.
The judge jokingly responds, “Hum deputy advocate appoint kar dete hain commissioner (We can appoint a deputy advocate as commissioner).”
He says to the advocate, “Constable banker jaoge, paise denge sahab (Will you go as a constable? Sir will pay you).”
In the end, the court issues a show-cause notice to the ex-wife to explain under which legal provision she is entitled to stay in her ex-husband’s home after the divorce.

“Twelve years after a divorce? She’s a stranger in her former husband’s house then. How can a stranger forcefully enter and occupy someone’s house? Must be a law against this,” someone else said.
