Ranveer Allahbadia Says He Lost Reputation After India’s Got Latent Controversy: ‘Let The Work Speak’

Ranveer Allahbadia addressed the India’s Got Latent controversy, revealing he lost health, money, and peace but gained spiritual growth. He apologized for his offensive comment.

Ranveer Allahbadia has opened up about the India’s Got Latent controversy. On Wednesday, the YouTuber conducted an ‘Ask Me Anything’ session on social media when he answered fans’ questions about the incident. On being asked what he lost during this time, Ranveer revealed that he compromised on his “Health, money, opportunity, repute, mental health, peace, parents’ contentment and much more” after his controversial comments.
However, the YouTuber also revealed that the entire row helped him in “transformation, spiritual growth”, and becoming tough. Ranveer mentioned that he is trying to get what he lost and further wrote, “Will slowly work towards getting back everything that’s lost. Let the work speak.”
In another post, Ranveer talked about the most fearful thoughts he faced in the last couple of months. “That I let down the families of my team members because of my mistake. People don’t understand how many jobs were at stake. Quickly wrote off my career and hence the career of 300+ people. Learnt very deeply about human nature. Mobs love seeing people fall. But we will keep moving forward. I am not 100% okay even now. Have to give it Have to give it my all because MANY livelihoods depend on my work,” he wrote and urged everyone to stay humble.
This comes days after Ranveer Allahbadia made his comeback with his podcasts after the India’s Got Latent controversy. Earlier this year, Allahbadia was embroiled in controversy after an episode of India’s Got Latent, where he posed an offensive question to a contestant: “Would you rather watch your parents have sex every day for the rest of your life or join in once to make it stop forever?” Though the panel, including Apoorva Mukhija and Ashish Chanchlani, laughed off the comment, it triggered massive backlash online and led to multiple FIRs against Ranveer and the show’s makers.
The controversy escalated when the National Commission for Women (NCW) stepped in, and Ranveer was forced to submit a written apology. The Supreme Court later granted him interim protection from arrest but called his remarks “vulgar” and accused him of having a “dirty mind” that shamed society.
Making his comeback recently, Ranveer addressed “dear India” in a video statement and urged everyone to give him “another chance”. “We will improve our podcast quality, and like every week, 4 episodes will come, focusing on India’s rich history, culture, and personal growth topics,” he said.
