Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone attended the World Audio Visual and Entertainment Summit (WAVES) 2025 on Thursday in Mumbai. The two joined for a panel discussion titled ‘The Journey: From Outsider to Ruler’, which was moderated by filmmaker Karan Johar.
In a heartwarming video from the event that surfaced on social media, Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone were seen arriving at the stage. The two were seen holding hands as they also flaunted their smiles. For the occasion, SRK looked dapper in a black suit. On the other hand, new-mom Deepika also sported a matching kurta with golden design on it.

Earlier today, SRK also kicked off WAVES 2025 when he welcomed Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other guests at the event with folded hands. SRK described the summit as “India’s future platform for global audio-visual entertainment” as he also welcomed the governor of Maharashtra C. P. Radhakrishnan and the state’s Chief Minister, Devendra Fadnavis.
The World Audio Visual and Entertainment Summit (WAVES) 2025 promises to be a creative hotspot where filmmakers, actors, and storytellers can connect, share ideas, and explore what’s next for movies, series, and digital content.
The summit will feature a star-studded lineup, including legendary actors like Amitabh Bachchan, Rajinikanth and Chiranjeevi, alongside today’s superstars such as Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone.
Alongside India’s brightest stars, WAVES 2025 will also see global leaders from the entertainment world. High-profile dignitaries like Ted Sarandos (Co-CEO of Netflix), Neal Mohan (CEO of YouTube), and Adam Mosseri (Head of Instagram) will join the event.
